I think I’ve already stressed it out in my other entries that I live in a city of perpetual rain. We’ve experienced a lot of downpour of biblical proportions that could put a damper on one’s mental being. I’m amazed by the fact of how the people in our beautiful city managed to handle it with stride. We’re a hardy lot.
After an abysmal weather spanning a couple of months, we were finally served with a deliciously warm spring climate since Monday. With it also came the sunny disposition in the city’s inhabitants. I could see people are having a good time. There’s a sense of celebration in the air as the city’s core centre is brimming with folk and it’s really good for the shops and other businesses alike.
This Sunday was no different. Clear skies with different shades of blue and a lone golden orb pulsating with life gave me a sense of joy and tranquility as I took a stroll to the nearest gym (Actic Torggaten is a fabulous newly-opened gym and just 5 minutes from home). After an intense workout, I came back home still overflowing with energy and baked some banana cake.
Moist banana cake laced with cinnamon infused vanilla cream. I used this recipe as my basis and tweaked it a bit like baking it for an hour because it’s in cake form and omit the lemon in lieu to the bananas.
The cake turned out moist and quite delicious. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon tea. Wishing everyone a lovely day!
