I’m back and I have a strong feeling that I’m going to stay as long as I can in the blogosphere. I’ve been in a hiatus for quite some time and to be honest, I do miss writing. The trappings of real life has sucked all the energy in me and when I have the opportunity to rest, I spend my time in limbo. Barren with no signs of direction. Still, words are brimming inside my mind like a pressure building inside waiting to burst out. To put those words into a stream of information, visually tangible and ready to be caressed by the naked eye and savoured in every sense of the word.
The road trip Odd and I took last weekend was the catalyst to awakened the fire in me. There’s something in the beautiful Norwegian scenery that could definitely titillate every sense of your being. Suddenly it dawned on me that I do have the time to write and I just have to do it. This renewed vigour will also allow me to finish my long overdue book project. To put my dreams, which I’ve been putting on hold, into reality.
I could do this by slowing down and allow myself to pay attention to my surroundings, the people I’m with and the beauty of everyday life. As Grace Coddington, the esteemed Creative Director of American Vogue once said, “Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire you.“
