After spending a week in Turkey, I spent the remaining two weeks of my vacation at home while Odd had to go back to work, being that he’s running his own business and all. With lots of free time on my hands, I had to use it wisely by still following my daily routine with a slight adjustment. I also took this as an opportunity to continue blogging and working on my book project as well.
It’s been around two years since I took a hiatus from blogging and a lot has changed just like our home. Take our kitchen for example, it looks like this when we just moved in:
The thing that surprised me the most was that I became quite handy like building my own furniture or light fixtures. Like the drawer turned into a kitchen island, a dining table and a lamp to name a few.
DIYed a dining table and a kitchen island.
The lamp I made called “The Horse”.
Staycation or staying at home vacation was equally fun as the out of the country vacation we had earlier (It sounded quite a mouthful, I know). Bergen was its loveliest as the temperature soared to tropical degrees. We also had Tall Ships Races, which attracted a lot of people meaning the city centre was so crowded with both tourists and locals alike. It was vibrant and we loved it! It had this 17th of May feeling (our Constitution Day for the uninitiated) and both me and Odd wished it was every year that Bergen should host Tall Ships Races.
Vibrant atmosphere and a lovely sunset.
And yes, I got myself a new tattoo.
It’s really nice to be blogging again and there will be recipes, DIY and other stuff in my future entries soon. That’s all!
