I got my driver’s licence! I was initially so nervous during the practical exam, but once I met the examiner and started to drive everything just dissipated. He (the examiner) exuded this sense of tranquility that was quite contagious. My nerves were calmed and I managed to gather myself. It allowed me to focus and do things right.
After the exam, there was this moment of silence and suspense as the examiner jotted down some stuff on his iPad. It felt like an eternity watching him tapping his fingers on the screen until he stopped and faced me with a poker face. With bated breath, I waited for another minute or so before he smiled and told me that I passed. I could feel all the weight on my shoulders just dropped like a lead balloon.

I’m still hesitant to drive alone, but one of these days I need to break that barrier. Anyway, I took my first, albeit short road trip with Odd last Saturday. We went to this place called Steindalsfossen, which I’ve been to before, but it was during summer in 2006. Now, I wanted to see the place again in a different season.
I think the photos will speak for itself:

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and I promise to be a responsible driver (it pays that I’m slightly paranoid and I’m not really fond of driving over the speed limit).
