My eyes started to feel heavy and my vision was like a closing scene in a play where the curtains began to fall. I willed my eyes to open wide, but the effects didn’t last longer than I expected.
“Oddis, I’m tired,” I said softly. “Can we shift?”
“So soon?” he said. “You just drove for an hour or so, but all right.”
“I’ll stop there,” I said, gesturing my head to a gasoline station looming in the horizon. Thank goodness! “We can grab something to munch as well.”
I always look forward when we both managed to have some free time to take a long weekend and visit my lovely in-laws. Part of it was the nice scenery meeting you on your way and I think road trips are romantic. The lush valleys, cascading waterfalls and the majestic mountains to name a few could bring a lifetime’s worth of inspiration.
HARDANGERVIDDA
We decided to drive through Hardangervidda because the views were amazing and it’s a lot faster.

FREDRIKSTAD
The city of Fredrikstad is the sixth largest city in Norway.

HAUKELI
On our way back, we took another route through Haukeli for a change of scenery.

From this trip, I also realised that the world is still a better place than what you see or hear from the recent events being broadcasted nonstop on the internet and the media in general.
It gave me glimmer of hope.
