On 2015, I started blogging again and it went well until September came and I suddenly saw myself taking a plunge in the deep cool waters of hiatus. My inspiration waned and the real world swallowed me whole despite the fact that I had myriad of things to write or talk about.
Now that I’m back (again), I want to share some major highlights from last year:
1. We made it a point to at least travel once or twice a year to a country one of us have never been before. For the year 2015, we decided to travel to Spain (where my ancestors are from) in the island of Mallorca. It was fabulous experience and you can read more about it here and here.
2. Reunion with my half-siblings in London where it’s also my first time to meet my other sister (the eldest of us four). You see our biological father is quite amorous and fathered four children with three different women. Anyway, in London, we were joined by a cousin and her husband, my aunt and her husband and my brother’s colleague. It was fun. Brief, but oodles of fun!

3. We bought a new place and managed to sell our old one (to a dear friend) at the same time. The cherry on top is that our new home is located in the same neighbourhood and it’s just a three-minute walking distance from our old residence. Photos are taken from the real estate website:

Reading this short list while writing this entry and remembering the small details (both the good and bad) of the previous year, made me realised that we’re so lucky (not blessed since we’re not presumptuous) and we’re truly grateful at that. Thankful for the good things, which reminds us to appreciate with what we have while the lemons in life stimulate us to come up with creatives ways to make an awesome lemonade. Preparing us for another battle that is constant in life.
I wish everyone a new year full of new adventures!
