This one is pretty hard because I have a myriad of favourite songs, all catalogue in different playlists in my Spotify (thank god for music streaming!). I had to think long and hard…okay, it only took me less than a minute to choose my three favourite songs right now (before I get bored replaying them to infinity and beyond or my ears bleed due to repetition).
Radioactive by Rita Ora
I first heard this song in our Streetdance class. Yes, I love to dance just so all of you, my dear readers, know. The choreography to this song was like a mixture of jazz and hip-hop. It was just fabulous in other words. Every step and every movement was sensually charged. I felt so utterly sexy as the wave traveled up and down my body and I glanced at the mirror with my fierce expression on. Definitely working it! Every time this song plays in my Spotify, I couldn’t help but to get down and dirty (mentally speaking when I’m in a public arena).
Spectrum by Zedd and Matthew Koma
There are two versions of this song, an acoustic and a remix. I equally love both. The song just communicates to me in a way like my husband kisses me on my neck – electrifying! At the same time both the music and the lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia in me that I couldn’t explain. The remix version turns me into a go-go boy while the acoustic version inspires me with my design and writing endeavours. It’s the best of both worlds!
Escapade by Janet Jackson
I miss Ms. Janet. Her songs are quite uplifting and this one in particular transports me to an utopian world full of happy people. It’s my latest early morning jam as I take a stroll to work. A perfect way to start a day.
Fifteen minutes are up according to my Pomodoro app! I think I need to stop writing now, press the replay button and give my husband a lap dance. Good day y’all!
